Overwatch, Blast and Bonus BS.

Overwatch, as we know, is fired as a snapshot, at BS1. This means Blast weapons cannot be fired. Is that restriction lifted through the use of abilities that can raise the overwatching BS, such as markerlights or one of the Divination Psychic Powers?

If I have Longstrike use 3 Markers to boost his BS by 3 for example, can I then fire an overcharged Ion Cannon blast into the charging unit as I am no longer firing a Snapshot?

You're still firing a snap shot, just one at raised BS. A subtle distinction, but it means you can't fire blast weapons.
